Snip's Diary October 2008
Hello everyone, it is definitely looking more like winter this month. I was out in the field this afternoon and I had a lovely roll in the mud. Glad I had my rug on though, the rain has been coming down hard today. Speaking of rugs, I hear that Cherokee has new lilac pajamas, very handsome! He'll be wanting pink fluffy slippers to go with them next.
I took a break from being retired last week to supervise the RDA lesson and Smartie told me he'd seen an old rider of mine, Sophie Christiansen. Apparently she came down to the yard the other week to show us the medals that she won for dressage in the Beijing Paralympics. Two gold ones and a silver one, well done Sophie! It's a good job too because the Sunday dressage afternoons start this month and we could all use some inspiration.
We've been competing locally too, not quite the Olympics but the Pyrford Show was this weekend. I saw some very muddy rosette covered ponies making their way back from the show ground. Well done everyone!
In other news, Magic is now a posh privately owned pony. She is still at the yard though, on the livery side and she is continuing her work with the RDA so we can still see her. Enjoy your new stable Magic, we miss you in the field!
See you all next month, love
