Snip's Diary October 2009
Hello everyone, I've had a lovely long summer hiding in the hay barn and generally mooching about on Lawnmower Duty.
I've had a very interesting time watching you all in various events over the last couple of months. The Pony Club Camp was excellent entertainment with gymkhana games, a camp fire and human chase me charlie in the evening. Magic and the girls were a bit confused by the floppy portable stables in their field. I must admit they looked a lot like feed bags to me - although everything does after a while.
I also enjoyed watching you all polishing and plaiting for the Pyrford Show and then trotting back over the fields covered in rosettes. Jolly well done to Bingo who managed a trophy as well as more ribbons than I've ever seen on one pony in my life!
However, the nights are drawing in and the grass is slowing down so I'm looking forward to cuddling up in my nice cosy rug with some hay in the evenings. We're all looking pretty fluffy already so some extra vigarous grooming would be very welcome as all our summer coats are coming out to make way for the winter woolies. Growing a new coat is an extremely itchy job.
See you all soon,
love
